long ago, pierce island was home to many uneducated people. then it was home to mildly educated people and a school house. now, pierce island has a high school, fully equipped with all education needs and requirements, as well as plenty of social and athletic pluses.

every town has a park, but not all parks are worth visiting. that isn't the case when it comes to pierce park and playground. the park includes a winding track for walkers, lush fields of grass for those who indulge in soccer or football or cloud watching, two basketball courts, a small pong where young ones feed ducklings, and a large wooden kingdom for the rambunctious little ones.

the island is completely surrounded by water and while there are docks on the south, east, and west sides of the island, the north dock and bay are the most popular. whether you're heading out on a boat or looking to take a dip, this is most likely where you'll be.

pierce island is famous for its perfect sailing conditions, though that's not the only thing good about living on the water. swimming in these waters is good exercise, as well as taking a run along the shore. oh, and did i mention the parties? parties are held on the beach nearly every warm weekend.

over fifty percent of pierce island is covered in woodland. plenty of residential homes here are hidden amongst the woods, as well as many hunting grounds, tree houses, forts, and the like. you'll never know what you'll find in these woods.

every town needs a bar, right? well, this is an island, but we still need a bar. cleverly named the tavern, you can enjoy fresh brewed beer, fiery whiskey, and anything else you may expect. the tavern also serves burgers, steaks, and anything friend come dinner time. enjoy the drinks, the food, the jukebox, the pool table, and the company.

even on a small island, religion is a popular concept. whether your character is christian or baptist, they'll come to this board to worship. of course, churches are for more than sunday morning sermons. you're character will also come here when they're lost, when they wed, or to bury a loved one. of course, the cemeteries can be found here, as well.

a hospital is a hospital. whether you break a bone or break a condom, you'll end up here. i won't lie and tell you our fees are cheap and our doctors are friends, but it's a place of healing. sometimes that's all you can hope for.

the pierce mall is rather new on the island and is rather spectacular. a two-level enclosed super regional mall and includes an outdoor lifestyle center, a power center and a rave movie theater. has over one hundred retailers offering upscale and unique shopping selections, as well as many places to dine and lounge.

the art gallery was an unusual and unpopular concept back when it first opened, but these days the citizens of pierce island and neighboring town quite enjoy the gallery and it's monthly exhibits. local artists and traveling artists are welcome to show off their work here, and local performing artists are welcome to donate their time and talent several evenings of the week.

some of our citizens care more about what's in their heads, rather than what's on it. they shop here. there's no discrimination, so even if you're the queen bee, and you're looking to smarten yourself and broaden those horizons of yours, you can stop worrying and stop in. no one loses their throne for reading a book, do they?
